About Meghan
Meghan Roos is a journalist with a background in breaking news, entertainment coverage and sports reporting. She is based in Southern California.
Meghan has worked as a breaking news writer for more than five years, more than three of which she spent at Newsweek contributing to the magazine's general assignment, live blog and newsletter teams. While at Newsweek, Meghan covered a wide range of topics, including the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 and 2022 U.S. elections, the 2021 gubernatorial recall election in California and the Russia-Ukraine war. Meghan previously worked as a digital news producer at KSWB-TV (FOX 5 San Diego) and as the web editor at Women's Running.
In addition to her writing and editing work, Meghan freelances for several music and culture publications. Meghan has a master's degree in journalism from New York University and a bachelor's degree in communication from UC San Diego. Her first novel, The Mirrored World, was published in 2012. Most importantly, Meghan is the proud dog mom of a 4-year-old dachshund named Ziggy.
